Fall 2009

Just an updated post on what we have been up to as of late.
Fall is a very busy time of year for our family, especially as homeschoolers it seems as though our weeks are filled with so many wonderful things! Here are a few highlights from what has been going on.

One of Jons favorite things to do is play Fall soccer. The weather is perfect for playing and he really loves to play! he is getting better every year that he plays and I hope it is something he will always love! This is an action shot of him during his game this past saturday.

So far this school year we have been able to take two really awesome trips. One was to sight and sound with E-Mom and E-Pop to see the amazing show In The Beginning, and the other fun thing was to go to our local indoor water park. The two best parts of these trips is that they cost close to nothing or were free! The tickets for Sight and Sound were only $10 a piece which normally run about 30 a person. The indoor water park runs about 20 a person and we got in for free not only once, but we are going again this Monday while they run this promotion!
We went to COCO Key (The indoor water park) when it forst opened due to a free promotion, and since then everytime my kids pass it they have asked to go back. Its not something we can afford on a normal basis so I ask the kids to pray about being able to go again. Well, this free promotion runs from now until Nov 19th and you can go as many times as you want for free! Not only does God answer prayer, he answers it abundantly. We are now praying for tickets to be able to see either a Christmas show at Sight and Sound or Joseph. It has been something wonderful for my kids to pray and jump for Joy when God gracefully finds a way for us to go!

Here are some pictures from the waterpark. I will have more tomorrow.

Last but not least Jon's favorite holiday is Halloween. He talks about it all year long. I know many people have many different opinions as to whether we as Christians should celebrate, and I do have my own, but we have allowed our children to participate in Trick or treating. They enjoy choosing a friendly costume and going out to get candy. I obsess for the many days after about brushing daily until all the candy is gone and they really enjoy the fun time we have. This year we got tired pretty early and it did rain while we were out, but we did get 2-3 streets done and got two big bowls of candy when we got home. We enjoyed parades with some of our best friends, painted pumpkins and went on a hayride with our playgroup and had a harvest celebration! Loads and Loads of fun for the kids!
Here are a few pictures of all we did too. Warning, you may get tired after seeing all we have done! I know I am!

Kylie was a pumpkin
Jon was a zombie this year. Boys will be Boys.

Notice anything odd about the pumpkin patch? Yes, thats right they had all the same sized GIANT pumpkins, even the pumpkin farms are trying to make a buck!

Whew! Im tired just thinking about it! We are so blessed though, and God is so good to us!
